Random Week 13 Appointment!

Hello There! Today I went to a random appointment... one that the doctor seemed to think was necessary! He told me all my blood tests were good, and had me set up my next appointment for 3 weeks for more blood tests, and 4 weeks after that my Anatomy Scan!! If you ask me, all this could have been done over the phone! 


Baby's heartbeat was easy to find, and I even heard him/her kicking towards the probe, as well as the movement of the baby. All things I had previously heard with my Doppler at home! 


Doctor is very optimistic and told me with a heart beat like this- This baby isn't going anywhere! He/She is happy where she is and will stay there until its time for his/her arrival! 


Next Appointment is December 21st and Anatomy Scan is January 20th!! Gender guesses are  welcome!!!

Week 12!! Goodbye First Trimester!!!

Hello everyone! We are please to announce we've made it to the 2nd trimester!! We have been to our 12 week appointment with the Perinatologist. She said Baby looks Great! Next appointment is Monday with OBGYN to go over ultrasound and blood test results and to plan my triple screen!! 

Baby is about the size of a Lime, or a Grade A Large egg, depending on the book! It weighs approximately .5 ounces and will be around 5 ounces by Christmas!!! Looks like I'm not going to get to loose that Holiday weight this year!!! 

Here is baby chillin out! It actually took a while to get a shot where he/she wasn't squirming all over!! You can see the outline of the face, two little hands and baby's legs curled up at the far right. 

 Looks like baby is like Mommy and Daddy and already likes his/her thumb! See the little fingers defined? 

 Here is baby's face!!! Its amazing the detail of the jaw bones you can already see!!! 

 Last but not least, Mommy's belly!! Baby is trying to make itself visible! Its really nice to finally start to look pregnant! I'm so ready for that!! Good bye belly ring... hello baby bump!!

9 Weeks!!

It’s been 9 weeks already since little Baby Fors got comfy inside me! These days he/she has made Mommy’s favorite rooms the bathroom, the kitchen and anywhere where I can NAP! I very much so enjoy the couch, and my new pillow that helps me sleep! I am no longer in my pre-pregnancy jeans, and those around me are noticing the little bit of chunk I had in the front before now is taking a rounder shape. Sometimes my belly feels hard, and sometimes it doesn’t. We have purchased a Doppler but have not successfully found baby’s heart beat yet. 

There are more votes for Boy by my friend Jill, and my Aunt Jerilyn, but I am still in belief it is a girl. We will know in January if not December. Whatever it is, I’m happy!! A little less than 3 weeks until the next appointment, and we should be able to hear baby by then!! 

According to the books, Baby should now be moving around like a kick boxer!! His/Her optic nerve and eyelids should be formed. I can't wait to see it on the next scan!!

Things are going well... Lets hope they stay that way!!

This has been a nervous past few weeks!!! With 8 weeks just around the corner... Baby looks great!! He/She has only given me 2 Migraines, 2 days of Morning sickness (so far), 1 Asthma attack that landed me in the ER and 8 weeks of fatigue!!! I am hoping that the next 4 weeks go smoothly, I can go off my progesterone, and I can hear my little ones heart beating!!! We've seen it- strong and healthy! But I can't wait to hear it! I bought a Fetal Heart Doppler that I can use after 10 weeks... Just have to A.) Wait for it to get here and B.) Wait another 2 weeks to use it!! 

I can't believe its been 6 weeks since we found out!! We've had 3 ultrasounds, seen the heart beat twice (at week 6 the Fetal Heart Rate was 119bpm!) Saw the legs and feet, and saw Baby move!! 

I'm feeling better then I expected but fatigued most of the time. I got lucky today and took a 3 hour nap!! 

Next appointment is in 4 weeks!! Right before Thanksgiving! The next one after that- right before Christmas!! Our Thanksgiving appt. will be one where we get to see him/her one more time- then the next time after that is January sometime...most likely between Jan 17-21...and that will be the anatomy scan! 

Pink or Blue? 

Everyone I've spoken to is saying GIRL... except my hubby and his mother!! lol...My father hasn't made a guess but he is probably hoping for BOY!! 

Anyone want to see? This is the 7 week 6 day scan... 8 weeks tomorrow!! 

I'll be posting again most likely after the next scan... unless I get bored or sick!! Then I will be posting sooner!

hCG levels..

We've now had my hCG levels tested 3 times in the last week. 

They are as follows:

Sept 28, 2010- hCG 118

Oct 1, 2010- hCG 325

Oct 3, 2010- hCG 690

Back to the doctor on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 to check again!!! Once we get to 1,500 or more we can have an ultrasound!!! 

Week 5 Starts Tuesday!! 

Here are the Normal hCG levels for this past week and the next 2 weeks:

Week 4: 5- 426 mIU/ml

Week 5: 18- 7,340 mIU/ml

Week 6: 1,080- 56,500 mIU/ml

Getting excited! I'm still praying everything goes well!! 

We're Pregnant!!

IT'S OFFICIAL!! 


Baby Fors is due June 7, 2011!!!

Two Pink Lines!!

So I couldn't wait for the blood test... and now I'm hoping I get the same result tomorrow at the Doctors office...

TWO PINK LINES!!!! One is a lighter then the other- but never the less- its there!!! IUI#4 Successful??? Lets pray everything goes well tomorrow and until June when Baby Fors will be arriving into the world!!!

Monday...

Its Monday... Tomorrows the big day! I was having a good feeling about this cycle, until earlier tonight. I started spotting and then it went away... but who knows if it will come back, or if its a pre-curse to my period. Last time this happened it happened much closer to the end of my cycle, and this time its 1-2 days before AF is expected, (or unexpected.) At this point, I don't know whats going on and its keeping me awake. Anyone else have this issue?

8 days remaining..

8 days remaining in this tww! I cant wait until its over! Testing on Tuesday, Sept 28th. I have a good feeling, and so does the DH, but I've been through this before, and I don't want to get my hopes too high. 


As I sit here and watch DWTS... I can not help but also notice some things that are out of sorts for me and my body. Certain, unmentioned changes have crept up on me, and others have been right out there in front of me! 

1. Constipation... I'm thinking its due to the increase in progesterone. Considering I'm taking 100mg 2x daily... this is my train of thought....
2. Tender Sore breasts and Nipples... I can't even put my bra on, I also blame the progesterone for this... 
3. Fatigue... this has been the most annoying of them all. I love my sleep, but I enjoy it at night. Not random times during the day! Today I took 3 naps, one hour each time, and I'm still exhausted. I just couldn't keep my eyes open! 

We've had a very busy week! Wakes, funerals, loosing pets, loosing grandparents and parents, my family really needs a pick-me-up, so lets pray this IUI was successful. 

And the wait begins...

Two weeks of waiting does not seem like a long time, but when you are waiting to hear that you are pregnant, or not, its a lifetime. 


Back to the Dr. on Sept 28 for a Beta! 


Today went relatively smoothly. 4 Folli's and 13 million sperm (prewashed) with 85% motility... They've got to meet in there someplace! One of them at least! Now I have to talk to my uterus and tell it- "It's okay if they want to stick around. Let them make themselves at home!" 


Progesterone Starts Thursday. 


Sticky thoughts. Prayers all around. Lets think of the glass as 1/2 full!!!

Can't Sleep... Anxious

What a surprise! I can't sleep. This always happens the night before my inseminations. I'm not sure why. I worked all day today. I was exhausted when I came home. Did laundry, went grocery shopping, almost fell asleep while eating dinner and now I'm wide awake. I hope this IUI works. I really do. I may have to be committed if it doesn't. I don't know how some people go through this so many times. Between the expense and the anxiety. Whew! It takes a lot out of you! Keep the faith and keep your chin up. Thats what I keep telling myself. See the sunny side of it... whatever that may be! I won't see it until I have a beautiful baby in my arms. One I can call ours. 


Lets try this sleep thing again.... Good night!  

TTC 3 years and finally decided to Blog about it!

Hello Friends.

It has now been three years and three months since Matt and I decided to start our family. At the time, I had just turned 20, and he had just turned 34.

From June 2007-June 2008 We tried to conceive on our own.
June 2008 We spoke to my OBGYN and he said we should talk to an Urologist.
July 2008 May 2009 We saw 2 Urologists and then a Male Fertility Specialist. We were diagnosed with a Male Factor Infertility.
May 17, 2009 We had IUI#1. Happy Birthday to my Brother in Law Jason!! This was a completely non medicated cycle, and we tracked my Ovulation with First Response. Total of 3 sperm in sample. (Yes, I said 3!)
June 2009 We started seeing an Reproductive Endocrinologist at Montefiore's Center for Reproductive Medicine.
September 2009 We signed up for a Department of Health IVF Grant through New York State.

2010
January 5, 2010 The phone rings. The Grant money has come through. IVF Cycle #1 here we come!
...29 days BCP, Lupron Injections, Follistim, Ovidrel, Progesterone Injections... I'm ready!
January 14, 2010 we bid farewell to my Dear Great Grandmother. After 91 years and 10 months of life, She could not hold on any longer. Lupron to follow.
February 13, 2010 Surprise 50th Anniversary party for my Father's parents, and... my first 150 units of Follistim, in addition to Lupron.
February 13-March 1, 201. Daily Blood work and Ultrasounds. Ovidrel.
March 2, 2010 IVF #1- 10 eggs retrieved, 6 fertilized with ICSI.
March 3, 2010 4 Embryos. Dividing nicely!
March 4, 2010 3 Embryos. Still Dividing Nicely.
March 5, 2010 Day 3 Transfer!! 2 Embryo's. Welcome Progesterone. No Embryo's to Freeze :(
March 17,2010 Negative Beta. Disappointment once again!!

Lets try this again....Did someone say IUI??
Memorial day weekend.... Phone call- Cycle may be cancelled... Risk of OHSS. (Over Stimulation)
June 4th IUI #2(Medicated with Follistim and Ovidrel.) Sperm Ct. 27 Million. 8 Folli's.  Progesterone Suppositories 2x daily. Congrats Jen! Friend with a 8 month old son calls and says- Liams going to be a big brother! (On the way home from IUI)
June 5th Happy 23rd Birthday to me!
June 15th Wake up and Wham... the day I'm supposed to come in for my Beta, Period has arrived!
June 16th Happy 37th to my DH!! Wish I could have given him a Positive HPT for his birthday... but nope! June 17th Day 3 Baseline...and Beta...Negative.

Taking a month off!

July 13th Cycle Starts.
July 16th 21st- Blood and Ultrasounds
July 23 IUI #3 Sperm Ct.= 19million. 2 Folli's. Baby Aspirin added to sequence of Meds. Leave for 3 day weekend Balloon Fest in NJ with Matt, Mom, Daniel, Jason, Sara, Alicia and Evan! Welcome Progesterone!
August 4th 2010 Negative Beta.
August 14th-22nd- Long Beach Island Vacation. Desperately needed!!

September 1, 2010 Follow up with Dr. Lets try one more time!
September 3, 2010 Day 1 of Period
September 5, 2010 Day 3 Baseline
September 5-9, 2010 150units of Follistim
September 9,10,11 78 Units of Follistim (E2 levels are 407,542, 776)
September 12,2010 Blood and Ultrasound. E2 is over 900. Ovidrel tonight. Start Aspirin again...
September 13,2010... TODAY!! Risk of OHSS again.

September 14, 2010 IUI #4. 4 Follicles being released this Ovulation.
